FOR INDIVIDUAL TEACHERS: The AST Application takes about 15 minutes to complete. You will need to upload a current resume. If you don’t have one, please pause your application to compile it. There is a nonrefundable admin fee of $350 to process your application— we try as much as possible to automate our systems but someone at the American Council of Body Altering Aesthetics (ACBAA) has to manually process each application, the background check, and curate the licensure.

FOR SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTIONS: Schools and Programs where a large volume of professionals teach the same courses can apply to be a licensed facility within the Body Altering Aesthetics Industry. The application is to be filled out by a decision maker, owner, or administrative supervisor at the educational facility on behalf of the school. Courses will be submitted for accreditation for all teachers at the school to provide; the school itself is being accredited instead of the individual provider and teachers. There is a nonrefundable admin fee of $750 to process your application. 

Please ensure that you understand ACBAA’s current continuing education requirements and what is considered acceptable continuing education course content before submitting your application. This can be reviewed through AST Handbooks (located on the respective applications). You must first apply to be a licensed educator. Thereafter, you may submit courses for accreditation.
