Course Description:

This course was designed for anyone new to caring for a wound. During this course, you can prepare and learn why we clean wounds a certain way, which solutions are best to use and what to avoid. Learn the method for cleaning, plus see video examples of how to do it. Learners will identify early signs of infection to prevent further issues that may slow down or prevent you from healing. For professionals, this is meant as a review with updated information and rationale. If you are a physical therapist, you may be eligible for contact hours. Contact hours are awarded through Wound and Therapy Seminars, an approved provider of PT/PTA education through the New York State Board of Physical Therapy. PT/PTA from other states may be eligible according to their state CEU requirements. Documents required will be available to print
