The iMedic Certification Program for Incisional Sciences and Technology bridges the gap between surgery and full recovery by integrating best practices, hands-on protocols, and regulatory alignment—ensuring both clients and professionals meet the highest standards in post-operative care. This certification equips bodywork professionals with the tools, training, and protocols needed to provide safe, evidence-based, hands-on support to clients recovering from elective surgery. iMedic ensures consistent, high-quality care through professional education, competency validation, and industry regulation. Participants learn to assess healing progress, provide guidance on postoperative care, address client concerns, facilitate lymphatic treatments, and recognize signs of complications, ensuring optimal outcomes and client satisfaction.

Therapists and Bodywork providers [who work at Surgery Centers, private plastic surgical practices, clinics, or ambulatory centers] that will be performing manual manipulation treatments on clients directly after the client has elective surgical procedures performed.

  1. This certification is not for treatments performed on clients that receive medically necessary procedures.
  2. This certification is also not for any professionals working inside of a facility that is deemed office or admin staff. If there are any CNAs, MAs, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, or other medical staff, they will become iMed-OS Board Certified
  3. This is not for a surgery center’s Chief of Staff

This certification accredits providers to perform treatments on clients Day 1-7 PostOp* after plastic surgery procedures.

* Should a therapist or a surgery center opt to provide treatments to clients past Day 7, they must apply for IP Provider Board Certification
