POI Scope Outlined
PostOp-Indur Clinicians have undergone extensive training and possess comprehensive knowledge to specialize in all CSL iMedic modalities [Day 1-7] and then catering to the critical period of Day 8 to week 8 postoperative care for plastic surgical procedures. With their deep understanding and extensive study, they have developed a heightened level of expertise in body presentation translations, protocol building based on analytical body braille raw data collection, compression precisions, and flawless technique execution.
It is important to note that the scope of practice for POI Clinicians at the PostOp-Indur Agency is limited to surgical clients within the Day 1 to week 8 timeframe. They do not provide services beyond week 8* or address noninvasive needs as they have not reached that level of professional acumen. Therefore, their focus remains solely on surgical clients. This position requires certification and then licensure as a starting point of treatment application.
POI Clinicians employ CSL Therapy Class 1 & 2 approved tools, equipment, and machines to assist clients’ bodies in returning to homeostasis and achieving their desired body goals after cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures. In addition, they skillfully utilize CSL Therapy hand techniques to carve, sculpt, and mold tissue as inflammation recedes. Through their expertise, they encourage lymphatic system reabsorption while sculpting clients’ tissue into desired body goals.
The scope of practice for POI Clinicians comprises 20% machine-assisted treatments and 80% hand manipulation techniques. These techniques encompass a range of therapies, including effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, compression, vibration, stretching, heliotherapy, superficial hot and cold applications, topical applications, and other therapies involving movement by hand, wrist, or forearm. The primary purpose of these techniques is to aid in inflammation remission. Additionally, upon successful completion of the iMedical Phlebotomy certification, POI Clinicians may break the dermal plane to aspirate seromas and utilize microdermabrasion rollers for skin retraction.
POI Clinicians possess the competence to strip drains, offer drain management, and safely remove client medical drains. They also have the ability to remove stitches and superficial sutures without digging into the client’s skin, ensuring all stitching remains external and superficial. Furthermore, they may incorporate the external application and use of listed CSL approved to enhance the treatment process:
- Emollients
- Lubricants
- Salts, powders, & liquid suspensions
- Nonprescription creams
- and Class 2 mechanical devices
The treatments provided by POI Clinicians focus on manual techniques aimed at physically affecting local collagenous connective tissues. These techniques include pressure, friction, stroking, percussion, kneading, skin rolling, pushing, pulling, vibration, and adhesion assessment by palpation.
Within the elective community, POI Clinicians specialize in working with special populations seeking body altering aesthetics. However, it’s important to note that they do not utilize Class 3 devices, reopen incisions, or perform any work on nonsurgical clients. Moreover, they are not authorized to prescribe drugs or supplements. POI Clinicians can suggest clients discuss potential supplements with their doctor or state popular client supplemental choices under the guise of a doctor’s recommendation.
Modality Description
The modality is a moving puzzle piece. It is a compilation of reading clients real time presentations and with comprehension analysis, protocols are built to meet the needs and goals of the client safely. It uses little to no oil, as there should be a slight drag to the manual manipulation on the client’s skin. On a pressure gradient of 1-10, techniques are applied 80%hands/20% devices on a gradient of 1-4. Each session spends time assessing the clients tissue & offering a thorough evaluation [that extends well into the session application], building a protocol, providing systemic treatment—including all therapeutic parts of the body (skipping over genitals) and not only working on the areas the client wants to transform, clearing nodes throughout the session, and closing with thermal inflections. Sessions are 60-90min long each, spending time stimulating the clients tissue to generate positive circulation and then decongesting nodes. Each session has a flow, working proximal to distal + sections within a section breaking down scar tissue, congealed connective tissue, adhesions, and striations from chronic holding patterns. Clients are clothed in disposable garments throughout the duration of the session; basic wound dressing and faja installation are applied at the end of each session as needed. Clients receive varied treatments and techniques using Class 1 & 2 CSL Therapy devices as the client’s body starts to present a need for them. Class 3 devices are not introduced into a client’s session until the end of their PostOp-Indur journey (close to week 6/7/8). Client’s receive Postop-Indur treatments are provided Day 8-Week 8 after a cosmetic/plastic surgery procedure including but not limited to:

The treatment style is characterized by varied strokes between long and flowing, short contrite localized staccato strokes, tapotment palpations, and superficial clearing strokes. Devices are integrated with kinetic frequencies and actions that mimic that of a bodyworkers hand and manual applications. Each session should differ to prevent body plateau.
