To become Board Certified by the CSL Therapy Governing Bureau in the Body Altering Aesthetics industry, applicants must submit four specimen.

Specimen 4: A recorded practicum of a complete 75-minute session evaluated by the CSL Therapy Board of Examiners.

Applicants are required to submit a recorded practicum session evaluated by the CSL Therapy Board of Examiners. This practicum should demonstrate the applicant’s proficiency in providing a complete 60-minute session adhering to the highest standards of care.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Recording: Applicants must record a complete 60-minute session showcasing their skills and techniques relevant to the chosen modality(s) within the Body Altering Aesthetics industry. The entire session should be filmed without interruption.
  2. Evaluation Criteria: The practicum will be assessed by the CSL Therapy Board of Examiners, awarding a maximum of 110 points. To pass, applicants must attain a minimum score of 88 points.
  3. Content Focus: The recorded session should display the applicant’s ability to execute appropriate techniques, adhere to safety protocols, maintain professionalism, and provide comprehensive care aligned with the standards of the chosen modality(s).
  4. Submission Procedure: Once the recorded practicum is prepared, applicants will submit it to the CSL Therapy Governing Bureau for evaluation by the Board of Examiners.

 

Outcome and Further Steps:

Upon successful completion and evaluation of Specimen 4, applicants will receive a clearance approval letter.

This approval grants the following:

  • Registered Board Certification*
  • Benefits of their Board Certification
  • The eligibility to sit for their respective 200-question proctored exam at an authorized testing center.

The exam covers the chosen modality(s) and is the final step towards obtaining full Board Certification in the Body Altering Aesthetics industry.

Note: Applicants should thoroughly review the evaluation criteria and guidelines before recording their practicum session to ensure compliance with CSL Therapy’s standards. The practicum submission serves as a comprehensive assessment of the applicant’s competence and readiness for the subsequent certification exam.

* Applicants will have 1 year of Benefits and legal representation to gather study materials, prep for their national exam in their chosen field, and to sit for their exam. Applicants must take their exam within 12 calendar months of receiving their Registered Board Certification Status. Upon successfully passing their National Exam, Registered Board Certification will change to Full Board Certification and Licensure in their State of Residence.
