Body Contouring
Body Contouring
This CSL Agency outlines the two types of non-invasive body contouring that are governed by the CSL therapy body contouring agency. They are Non-surgical Body contouring (NSBC), treatments that are done on clients that have never had surgery before; and PostOp Body Contouring (POBC) Maintenance, treatments provided and applied to clients that have had work done in the past that are eight weeks postOp or further out.
The Body Contouring Agency outlines: (for both POBC & NSBC)
- Appropriate Aesthetic treatments and techniques
- Targeted client goals and outcomes
- Machine and hand manipulation treatments
- Skin retraction and remodeling methods
- Body-skin care advice and appropriate client self-massage routines
- External treatment applications
- Manual techniques for connective tissue remodeling
- Special populations of the elective community
- Restrictions & Scope of practice
- Limitations on prescribing drugs and supplements
- Guidelines of facial contouring techniques
- Industry regulations & requirements for therapist provision
This agency was created with the idea to fill in the gaps on body treatments affecting large scale systemic transformations, supplementing and supporting Cosmetology Boards. Any body contouring treatments requiring skin innervation or breaking the dermal plane still require pre-existing licensure from dermatology, phlebotomy, aesthetics, and nursing board regulation and compliance.
