Sanctioned Methods

What is a sanctioned method?

You know how Massage therapy has Swedish, Lomi Lomi, & Thai modalities? CSL Therapy has FOUR of their own educational methods as well. These methods provide the foundational groundwork for streamlined education, best professional practices, & consistent client care. The Sanctioned Methods are recognized and approved by relevant governing regulatory bodies as safe and effective for use in the industry. They also serve as safety guidelines for the general public.

Legal Protection: An Alternative to Patenting

CSL Method Sanctioning offers an innovative alternative to traditional patenting, providing inventors and creators with a unique approach to protecting their intellectual property. Unlike traditional patents, where exclusive rights expire after a set period, CSL Method Sanctions allow inventors to maintain professional ownership of their methods indefinitely. Even after a CSL Method becomes widely used or recognized, the creator retains ownership and control over its dissemination. This means that inventors can license out their methods to institutions, tech schools, and educational facilities without relinquishing ownership or control. By preserving ownership rights beyond the expiration of traditional patents, CSL Method Sanctioning empowers inventors to continue benefiting from their innovations while also fostering collaboration, education, and further innovation within their respective fields.

Introducing CSL Therapy’s Sanctioned Methods:

Incisional Sciences & Technology Methods

The TOSI Method

The TOSI Method, created by Tai Brown, teaches students how to integrate bioengineering and Body Braille with 3 state-of-the-art devices to help clients achieve their body goals faster, safer, and with less discomfort.  The TOSI Method for Incisional Sciences & Technology is an equation that allows practitioners to develop comprehensive treatment protocols for client recovery from Day 1-7 after plastic surgery and is combined with the CSL Therapy accredited Seroma Drainage Certification. This method follows a timeline for treatments along 75-90min and combines light effleurage, Vodder Lymphatic Drainage, evacuation pumping wave peristalsis, and kinetic integration. The TOSI Method for Incisional Sciences & Technology teaches students basics that they can build on with confidence in taking new clients, highlighting techniques that mimic how the human body remodels itself after trauma– but with a focus on the client’s body goals. This method educates professionals on how to work with clients who still have open incisions that haven’t occluded yet and can be used on the entire body– anywhere a client has had surgery.

The Beckker Method

Beckker Lymphatic Drainage Method (BLDM) is a superficial technique to encourage the natural drainage and break down of built up scar tissue to be moved through lymph, carrying waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. BLDM is an innovative form of manual manipulation therapy developed by Guadalupe Beckker. BLDM is designed to improve the flow of lymphatic fluid, resulting in improved circulation and tissue health. This is achieved through the use of gentle yet effective manual strokes that are designed to target the lymph nodes, and scar tissue. The technique is usually performed along the lymphatic vessels. With BLDM, there is a merge of dermal expansion and medical aesthetics– yielding providers able to achieve instant results for their clients using the teachings and effective manipulations. This method focuses on the entire body.

Brazilian Body Contouring Method(s)

Brazilian Body contouring is a manual method applies pressure and friction to targeted areas of the body. It is a combination of kneading, rolling, and stroking motions where the practitioner aims to break down stubborn fat deposits, stimulate internal lymphatic drainage, and improve circulation, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more toned contours. Brazilian methods vary depending on the teacher but all mimic MLD to move superficial lymph, encouraging the body to detox and slim. The technique combines lymphatic drainage and myofascial release, Swedish strokes towards lymph node beds, with light carving around the hips, focusing solely on the torso. This method is not approved for post surgical application.

Why you should study from one of the Sanctioned Methods

It’s imperative healthcare providers and potential students in the Body Altering Aesthetics industry opt to complete their studies for Incisional Sciences, Post-Plastic Surgery (PostOp-Indur), & Body Contouring from a CSL Therapy Sanctioned Method.

These courses are the first that are complete in competency, skill, & accuracy with ACBAA guidelines. These programs are the only Institutional level academia that are peer-reviewed and trusted by reputable organizations such as State Attorney General’s offices, State Health departments, Licensing & Labor Departments, and regulatory health associations inclusive of American Health Association, American Nurses Association, US Dept of Education, & LCME.

While you are free to study non-sanctioned methods, providers historically become high risk of Course Fraud— paying for expensive classes that don’t educate on what practitioners need to pass pending licensing exams. Practicing without Sanctioned Certification in one of the four sanctioned CSL modalities poses a significant public health and safety risk, up to and including incarceration & hefty fines.

In choosing to study from these peer-reviewed and Sanctioned Programs, healthcare providers and potential students can ensure they receive the necessary education and training to provide safe and effective services to their clients. All future CSL Therapy Foundational Courses are to be written from these Ordinance Principle Methods.

…not to mention, it’s the only way to apply and complete your professional Board Certification.

Submitting a New Method for CSL Sanctioning

(a message from ACBAA)

Welcome to the American Council of Body Altering Aesthetics (ACBAA), the leading organization for Body Altering Aesthetic practices governed by CSL Therapy Organization. Our mission is to establish and maintain high standards for safe and effective body altering services.

As part of our commitment to innovation and progress in the field, we are always interested in considering NEW methods and techniques that can enhance our industry. Have you developed a new method that can enhance the industry? Similar to how massage therapy has Rolfing, Shiatsu, and Lomi Lomi— CSL Therapy has their own methods and approaches to treating BAA symptoms and body presentations. If you have developed a new method of treatment for CSL Therapy, we encourage you to submit it to the ACBAA for consideration as a Sanctioned Method (note: this has to be a method, with protocols, and an entire approach that differs from anything else that already exists to treat a client in the Body Altering Aesthetics industry; if you only have a class, please apply to become an AST and submit your class there).

To submit your method for approval and registration, please follow the following process:

  1. Contact CSL Therapy
    • The first step is to contact us to express your interest in submitting your method. Use the associative Sanctioned Method outreach submission form to start the process. (responses can take up to 2 weeks to process your application due to the International  demand)
  2. Submit documentation
    • Once you have contacted us, you will need to submit documentation describing your method in detail. Pending documentation will include evidence of the safety and efficacy of your method, a full breakdown of how to apply the method with steps and protocols, a recording of the method being applied, and studies or case reports that support its use.
  3. Review by ACBAA Council
    • Your method will be reviewed by our ACBAA Council, which is comprised of leading experts in the field. The Council will evaluate your method based on its safety, efficacy, and potential benefits to patients.
  4. Approval and registration
    • If your method is approved, there will be a one time onboarding fee of $2,000. Your method will be registered as a Sanctioned Method of treatment with the ACBAA & CSL Therapy Org. This means that it will be recognized as a safe and effective method of CSL Therapy, and can be used by practitioners who have completed the necessary training and certification. You will receive a Sanctioned Seal and be inducted into the CSL Therapy Org during the next gala.

It’s important to note that the ACBAA has established approved methods of treatment for Body Altering Aesthetics that have been established as the standard. New methods of treatment can only be accepted through this submission and approval by the ACBAA Council.

Thank you for considering the ACBAA as a partner in advancing the field of body altering aesthetics. We look forward to receiving your submission and working with you to improve the safety and effectiveness of CSL Therapy.
