The iMedic Baseline Exam is a crucial component of the iMedic Post Surgical Board Certification process, designed specifically for healthcare professionals working in surgical offices, medical clinics, or ambulatory centers who directly interact with clients during their postoperative journey. This comprehensive exam assesses the knowledge and skills of Therapists and Bodywork providers who perform manual manipulation treatments on clients immediately following elective surgical procedures.

The exam is administered online through CSL Therapy’s portal and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Applicants will be required to choose the most correct answer for each question. There is no time limit for completing the exam, but it must be done in one sitting. Each question carries equal weight, and to pass, applicants must achieve a minimum score of 85%.

The exam covers 10 categories related to a client’s post-surgical journey immediately after surgery. These categories include:

  1. Homeostatic return, trauma remodeling, and wound repair
  2. Compression Therapy
  3. Lymph nodes & Edema Fluctuations
  4. Nutrition & Ambulation
  5. Signs of Distress
  6. Hygiene and Sanitation: Infection Prevention
  7. Incisional Standards of Care

  10. Device Integration based on Kinetic Application

While no specific exam preparation is required, applicants may revisit their educational prep courses before taking the exam to refresh their knowledge. It is essential for applicants to have a solid understanding of the topics covered in the exam to ensure success.

The exam must be completed within 2 weeks of the surgery center registering their office for Board Certification. There is no additional fee for the exam, as it is included in the Surgery Center’s application for Surgeon Office Board Certification.

During the exam, applicants are not permitted to use electronic devices, books, or any written materials. This ensures the integrity of the exam and the evaluation of each applicant’s individual knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.

Successful completion of the iMedic Baseline Exam demonstrates the applicant’s competency in providing clients with the best medical experience and accurate information during their postoperative journey, ultimately contributing to optimal outcomes and client satisfaction.
