003.1. Scope of Practice:
- Certificants and licensees shall practice within their defined scope of practice as outlined by CSL Therapy. This includes adhering to the specific CSL Therapy techniques and treatments for which they are certified or licensed.
003.2. Continuing Education:
- Certificants and licensees shall actively engage in continuing education to stay current with advances in CSL Therapy techniques, research, and best practices. A minimum of 23 continuing education hours shall be completed every 2yrs to maintain certification or licensure.
003.3. Self-Assessment:
- Certificants and licensees shall regularly self-assess their knowledge, skills, and abilities to identify areas in which further training or improvement is needed.
003.4. Professional Development:
- Certificants and licensees shall actively seek opportunities for professional development, which may include attending workshops, seminars, and conferences related to CSL Therapy.
003.5. Mentorship and Supervision:
- Certificants and licensees who are new to the field shall seek mentorship and supervision from experienced CSL Therapists to enhance their competence and skills.
003.6. Certification and Licensure Maintenance:
- Certificants and licensees shall ensure that their certifications and licenses are current and in good standing with CSL Therapy, including meeting all renewal requirements.
003.7. Patient Safety:
- Certificants and licensees shall prioritize patient safety in all aspects of their practice, ensuring that their competence contributes to the overall well-being of clients.
003.8. Evaluation of Competence:
- CSL Therapy may periodically evaluate the competence of certificants and licensees through assessments, audits, or other means to ensure ongoing compliance with competence standards.
003.9. Remediation:
- If a certificant or licensee is found to be lacking in competence in a specific area, CSL Therapy may require remediation or additional training to address the deficiency.
003.10. Ethical Conduct:
- Certificants and licensees shall maintain the highest ethical standards in their practice, including honesty, integrity, and transparency.
003.11. Educational competence/incompetence:
- Educators in the Body Altering Aesthetics industry must maintain competent compliance of educational experience before opting to teach and pass on body altering aesthetics educational material. Teachers must display a level of aptness and competence to avoid violation of negligence and incompetence towards the general public.
Failure to comply with this Patient Privacy/Confidentiality & Public safety regulation may result in disciplinary actions by CSL Therapy, including but not limited to certification or licensure suspension or revocation, dismissal fines, and incarceration in accordance with CSL Therapy’s disciplinary policies and procedures.
This regulation shall be effective as of [September 18, 2023] and shall remain in effect until revised or updated by CSL Therapy.
