005.1. Professional Integrity:
- Certificants and licensees shall conduct themselves with integrity, honesty, and transparency in all professional interactions, upholding the highest ethical standards.
005.2. Client-Centered Care:
- Certificants and licensees shall prioritize the well-being and best interests of clients, providing care that is client-centered, respectful, and culturally sensitive.
005.3. Ethical Informed Consent:
- Certificants and licensees shall obtain informed consent from clients before any treatment, ensuring that clients fully understand the treatment process, potential risks, benefits, and alternatives.
005.4. Ethical Privacy and Confidentiality:
- Certificants and licensees shall maintain the privacy and confidentiality of client information, including medical records and personal details, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
005.5. Respect for Autonomy:
- Certificants and licensees shall respect the autonomy and decision-making capacity of clients, supporting their right to make informed choices about their treatment.
005.6. Professional Boundaries:
- Certificants and licensees shall establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients, avoiding dual relationships or conflicts of interest that may compromise client care.
005.7. Avoiding Harm:
- Certificants and licensees shall take all reasonable measures to avoid causing harm to clients, including avoiding any practice that may exacerbate a client’s condition or create undue risk;
- This includes but is not limited to performing the wrong treatments; using incorrect devices; perpetuating incorrect outdated techniques on clients overloading their lymphatic system and valves, encouraging them to function in a faulty manner.
005.8. Cultural Competence:
- Certificants and licensees shall demonstrate cultural competence, respecting the diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and values of clients, and tailoring care to individual needs.
005.9. Truthful Representation:
- Certificants and licensees shall provide accurate and truthful information to clients regarding their qualifications, certifications, and capabilities.
005.10. Non-Discrimination:
- Certificants and licensees shall not discriminate against clients based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
005.11. Reporting Ethical Violations:
- Certificants and licensees shall promptly report any ethical violations or concerns by themselves or others to CSL Therapy for appropriate investigation and action.
005.12. Continuous Ethical Reflection:
- Certificants and licensees shall engage in continuous ethical reflection, seeking opportunities for self-improvement and ethical growth in their practice.
Failure to comply with this Patient Privacy/Confidentiality & Public safety regulation may result in disciplinary actions by CSL Therapy, including but not limited to certification or licensure suspension or revocation, dismissal fines, and incarceration in accordance with CSL Therapy’s disciplinary policies and procedures.
This regulation shall be effective as of [September 18, 2023] and shall remain in effect until revised or updated by CSL Therapy.
