014.1. Client-Centered Care:
- Certificants and licensees shall prioritize client well-being and advocate for their best interests throughout the treatment process.
014.2. Informed Decision-Making:
- Certificants and licensees shall facilitate informed decision-making by providing clients with clear and understandable information about treatment options, potential risks, benefits, and alternatives. Providers will not allow clients to make decisions while under heavy doses of anesthesia or narcotics.
014.3. Respect for Autonomy:
- Certificants and licensees shall respect clients’ autonomy and right to make decisions about their own care, including the choice to refuse or discontinue treatment.
014.4. Communication:
- Certificants and licensees shall maintain open and effective communication with clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and preferences.
014.5. Ethical Conduct:
- Certificants and licensees shall conduct themselves ethically, advocating for clients’ privacy, confidentiality, and overall well-being.
014.6. Reporting Concerns:
- Certificants and licensees shall report any concerns related to patient safety, misconduct, or violations of CSL Therapy regulations to the appropriate authorities and CSL Therapy as necessary.
Failure to comply with this Patient Privacy/Confidentiality & Public safety regulation may result in disciplinary actions by CSL Therapy, including but not limited to certification or licensure suspension or revocation, dismissal fines, and incarceration in accordance with CSL Therapy’s disciplinary policies and procedures.
This regulation shall be effective as of [September 18, 2023] and shall remain in effect until revised or updated by CSL Therapy.
