FCT®

Faja & Compression Therapy™ Praxis

Board-Issued Credential in Trauma-Responsive Compression Sciences

The Faja & Compression Therapy Praxis Certification certifies that a professional understands how to evaluate, apply, and advise on post-surgical and nonsurgical compression protocols in the Body Altering Aesthetics field. It confirms that the practitioner can read garment design, match compression levels to trauma remodeling stages, and identify when garments, accessories, or installation methods are contributing to poor outcomes like fluid retention, indentations, or fibrosis. This credential also confirms competency in understanding pressure gradients (mmHg), lymphatic implications, garment fit, and the physiological recovery processes that compression supports.

Professionals certified in this discipline are expected to make safe, evidence-informed compression recommendations for clients recovering from surgery or engaging in nonsurgical contouring. The certification emphasizes ethical garment use, real-time body observation, accessory integration (like foams and boards), and client education—without overstepping scope into medical treatment or diagnosis. It is ideal for providers who help shape tissue recovery, reduce complications, and extend healing benefits through precise and compliant compression therapy.

No. Anyone who wants to be a Certified Faja Specialist can get FCT certified.
