PostOp-Induration Clinician (POI) ®

1-7 Years of experience

If you’re providing post-surgical bodywork services between Day 8 and Week 8 after a client’s plastic surgery, this certification answers a critical question: Have you been clinically cleared and credentialed to provide safe, scope-aligned care in this recovery window?

The POI Clinician Certification validates your competency to work in the trauma remodeling phase of recovery—when tissue thickening, inflammatory rebounds, fluid shifts, and structural tension start to surface. During this window, careless or uninformed techniques can derail healing or distort results. This certification confirms that you’ve demonstrated knowledge of tissue behavior, protocol planning, and safety-informed decision-making for post-surgical clients.

Whether you’re licensed or not, if you’re providing bodywork services during this post-op phase, this certification credential aligns your work with science based best-practice standards and supports compliance with existing regulations. You’re not guessing—you’ve been evaluated, and you’re certified to do it right.

Who is this certification for? This certification is intended for professionals who are actively supporting post-surgical clients during the intermediate trauma remodeling phase (Day 8 to Week 8), including but not limited to:

  • Massage Therapists
  • Nurses
  • Physical Therapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Estheticians
  • Recovery Specialists
  • Unlicensed Providers

This certification grants you lawful authority to perform Body Altering Aesthetics (BAA) services in states where these services are currently unregulated. It provides legal and ethical structure in a space where no licensure is required, helping you operate confidently and responsibly [while the field awaits formal regulation]. CSL Therapy provides the governing certification standard that defines lawful practice, professional boundaries, and client safety expectations across the country.

Do I need a license to take this certification?

No. As long as you meet the eligibility requirements and can demonstrate training in lymphatics and trauma-informed bodywork, you may apply. This is a certification, not a license.

Important Regulatory Note:

The POI® Certification is a professional credential within the Body Altering Aesthetics (BAA) field, an emerging and currently unregulated space. This certification does not function as a license nor does it authorize medical or massage services in regulated states. All certified professionals are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that govern their license (if applicable) and the legal scope of BAA work in their region. CSL Therapy and the BAA-CORE Federation provide regulatory governance, certification standards, and lawful scope-of-practice frameworks for Body Altering Aesthetics (BAA) services. Certified professionals are expected to operate within the scope and protocols defined by CSL Therapy. While we actively support and advocate for those who remain in compliance with our standards, we cannot extend representation to individuals who practice outside of our defined scope or in violation of their local laws.
